    Applicants.Club offers a chance for every members to participate in peer reviewing, which means to review applying document for each other. Every applicant is guaranteed with help from other applicants because of the initial free credits. If someone wants to get more reviews from others, then please either work hard in helping others or just pay for others' help.

    The document is assigned to the most suitable reviewer of our club, and credits is charged according to both the quality of the document and the level of reviewer, details are listed as following:

    • A quality score is calculated every time each document is uploaded, indicating the writing skill of the applicant.
    • The document is assigned out in the consideration of the relevance of writing skill, highest degree and applying goal, in descending order
    • Charge of credits is calculated as a basic charge of the current level, plus the charge evaluated by quality score

  • We understand that sometimes polishing the document is not the most difficult step to do, but ACTUALLY STARTING to WRITE is. In order to help our club members to start quickly, we have collected a great number of application document (statement of purpose and personal statement) for an applicant to get started. We separate these documents into two list, list of SOP and list of PS, because these two are NOT the same! Beyond simply collecting, a quality score is calculated for each document and showed, an applicant can pick the most several suitable ones to start with. We recommend our club members not to always start with the most difficult one or easiest one. All these documents are collected from free resources online and download them is compeletely free of charge. Unfortunately, you have to login to use our free resources.

    As for each document, the text is separated into each sentence, for club members' convenience to study. A reference link is showed under each document, which links to the original place of this document. A few of these are originally from examples of online document writing companies, unfortunately, these documents are proved not to be competitive, according to our calculation of the combination of linguistic features.

    • Every reviewer starts out as 'peer' level, at which each reviewer can gain among 100 credits, currently, the top one is 'linguistic expert' level, where you can gain 1 million credits for a single review. But there is no easy way to climb that high.

How are the documents rated?
It is rated considering many different aspects of languages, mainly including the distribution of words and sentences. Longer document tends to have a higher score but that is mainly because longer documents are usually written for higher education, thus, with more educated applicant.
How much does each review cost?
Costs mainly depends on the level of reviewers one select. Peer review (review by any other applicant with a similar background of you) only costs 100 credits each. Experienced review means review by the applicants that has been proved with a lot of experience related, thus it more, 2000 credits each. Same reasons for the cost of 40000 credits of a master review and 800000 of an expert review.
How are experienced reviewers (or higher level) selected
Usually, a reviewer can only get higher level by reviewing many other documents with satisfying feedback. Each review will bring the reviewer some bonus experience score and the level goes up. After gaining enough experience, a normal reviewer can be seen as an experienced review and can start to offer experienced review service.
How is the extra cost of each review calculated?
The extra cost of each review is calculated based on the quality of each document. The quality is evaluated basically the same way as the difficulty score of a document is assigned.
What does the level in my personal information indicate?
It keeps track of the progress of an applicant as a reviewer. Every reviewer starts as at starter level, and when reviewers gain enough experience, they manage to move to the next level.
How to get leveled up?
The only way is to help review others document with a reasonable quality.
How many reviews does it take to move to next level?
First of all, it depends on the quality of the reviews a reviewer is rated. High quality review means more reward in experience, and helps upgrade the reviewer quickly. Meanwhile, it also depends on the current level of a reviewer. The higher the current is, the more experience score is required to move to next level.
What are the animals that stand for each level?
Those cute animals are companion for you in the process of reviewing. You will start with penguins and then move to pandas, sheep etc. The higher the level is, the stronger the animal will be. Expect some cute surprises on your way to be an expert.
How is the quality of a review rated?
It is rated by the owner of the document, on five different scales. Each scale will give the review a different gain of experience except that the lowest level (terrible reviewer) will give nothing extra to the reviewer.
Are the credits used for reviewing related with the level of an applicant?
No. There is no direct relationship between these two scores. They are different measure for different purposes. If there is any relation, higher level usually means more gain in credits.
How does my personal information matter?
Your document is more likely to be assigned to someone with similar background of you. Please note, if you do not specify the degree you have or you are applying. Both of them will be set to junior high as default. Then you will mainly participate the peer review within other people of this degree.
Why am I not allowed to assign my document for review?
There could be several different reasons. We do not allow a document shorter than a certain length to get reviewed. This rule is mainly designed to help an applicant save credits and to prohibit spams. Besides, reviews are not assigned if the owner does not have enough credits for even a single starter review. In addition, it is probably because we do not have reviewers at that level available yet. If you are facing this difficulty and the reasons are not listed above, please let us know as a bug report.
What if I want to assign a document longer than the word limit to get reviewed?
Most university applicant document has a limit of the words one can submit. We believe generally you do not need a longer document than we allow. Probably you may want to consider other platforms if your document is not for application.
How should I read others reviews for my document?
A button on the right of the document will bring you to a page where all you reviews will be listed. The reviews are listed for those you have not rate and those that you have read and rated. Please rate those reviews because that will reimburse you with some of the credits you spend when assigning them out.
How can I get more documents to review?
Currently, you cannot ask for more documents to review. The only way currently allowed is to wait for email notification if you are selected as a reviewer. Probably we will allow the reviewers to take the initiative to make profit when we have more club members.
How can I change the document that I have assigned out?
If the document has not been reviewed yet, you can always update it when you update the document in your page. However, once it is reviewed, we encourage you to read the reviews before you make any changes to it, or sometimes it may be difficult for you to understand what the reviewer is talking about.
Why the reviews and and the document are mismatched?
Probably because the owner have changed the document after the review is saved. Unfortunately, we do not offer solutions for that currently. Please expect new features with solutions in a month.
Why do I only have a week for the review?
We do this to for the writer’s benefit. Everyone wants to submit a document and get a review soon. Remember that everyone can be a writer of application document, so we are doing this for everyone’s benefit.
Can I extend my review time for more than a week?
No. But the time is not strictly a week. Usually it is a several more days than a week. If you are really busy, you can take the risk to extend that on your own, but we expect that to be done in a week, so be prepared if you are not allowed to review after seven days and some credits will be taken from you.
Why do I lose credits for not reviewing?
When you have agreed to participate in peer review, we expect you to take the responsibility and other document owners trust you by our assignment. So, if you cannot fulfill your responsibility, some credits are taken from you as a compensate for the owners.
How do I pay to get more credits?
Unfortunately, currently we don’t offer this service. Related functionalities are under develop. Please expect this service in next month.

Sharing Your Content and Information
You own all of the content and information you post on Applicants.Club. In addition:For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Applicants.Club (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.When you delete IP content, it is deleted in a manner similar to emptying the recycle bin on a computer. If you make a payment on Applicants.Club or use Applicants.Club Credits, you agree to our Payments Terms.
Special Provisions Applicable to Social Plugins
If you include our Social Plugins, such as the Share or Like buttons on your website, the following additional terms apply to you:We give you permission to use Applicants.Club's Social Plugins so that users can post links or content from your website on Applicants.Club.You give us permission to use and allow others to use such links and content on Applicants.Club.You will not place a Social Plugin on any page containing content that would violate this Statement if posted on Applicants.Club.
Special Provisions Applicable to Developers/Operators of Applications and Websites
If you are a developer or operator of a Platform application or website, the following additional terms apply to you:You are responsible for your application and its content and all uses you make of Platform. This includes ensuring your application or use of Platform meets our Applicants.Club Platform Policies and our Advertising Guidelines.Your access to and use of data you receive from Applicants.Club, will be limited as follows:You will only request data you need to operate your application.You will have a privacy policy that tells users what user data you are going to use and how you will use, display, share, or transfer that data and you will include your privacy policy URL in the Developer Application.You will not use, display, share, or transfer a user’s data in a manner inconsistent with your privacy policy.You will delete all data you receive from us concerning a user if the user asks you to do so, and will provide a mechanism for users to make such a request.You will not include data you receive from us concerning a user in any advertising creative.You will not directly or indirectly transfer any data you receive from us to (or use such data in connection with) any ad network, ad exchange, data broker, or other advertising related toolset, even if a user consents to that transfer or use.You will not sell user data. About Advertisements and Other Commercial Content Served or Enhanced by Applicants.Club
Our goal is to deliver advertising and other commercial or sponsored content that is valuable to our users and advertisers. In order to help us do that, you agree to the following:You give us permission to use your name, profile picture, content, and information in connection with commercial, sponsored, or related content (such as a brand you like) served or enhanced by us. This means, for example, that you permit a business or other entity to pay us to display your name and/or profile picture with your content or information, without any compensation to you. If you have selected a specific audience for your content or information, we will respect your choice when we use it.We do not give your content or information to advertisers without your consent.You understand that we may not always identify paid services and communications as such.
Special Provisions Applicable to Advertisers
You can target your desired audience by buying ads on Applicants.Club or our publisher network. The following additional terms apply to you if you place an order through our online advertising portal (Order):When you place an Order, you will tell us the type of advertising you want to buy, the amount you want to spend, and your bid. If we accept your Order, we will deliver your ads as inventory becomes available. When serving your ad, we do our best to deliver the ads to the audience you specify, although we cannot guarantee in every instance that your ad will reach its intended target.In instances where we believe doing so will enhance the effectiveness of your advertising campaign, we may broaden the targeting criteria you specify.You will pay for your Orders in accordance with our Payments Terms. The amount you owe will be calculated based on our tracking mechanisms.Your ads will comply with our Advertising Guidelines.We will determine the size, placement, and positioning of your ads.We do not guarantee the activity that your ads will receive, such as the number of clicks your ads will get.We cannot control how clicks are generated on your ads. We have systems that attempt to detect and filter certain click activity, but we are not responsible for click fraud, technological issues, or other potentially invalid click activity that may affect the cost of running ads.You can cancel your Order at any time through our online portal, but it may take up to 24 hours before the ad stops running. You are responsible for paying for all ads that run.Our license to run your ad will end when we have completed your Order. You understand, however, that if users have interacted with your ad, your ad may remain until the users delete it.We can use your ads and related content and information for marketing or promotional purposes.You will not issue any press release or make public statements about your relationship with Applicants.Club without our prior written permission.We may reject or remove any ad for any reason.If you are placing ads on someone else's behalf, you must have permission to place those ads, including the following:You warrant that you have the legal authority to bind the advertiser to this Statement.You agree that if the advertiser you represent violates this Statement, we may hold you responsible for that violation.
Special Provisions Applicable to Pages
If you create or administer a Page on Applicants.Club, or run a promotion or an offer from your Page, you agree to our Pages Terms.
Special Provisions Applicable to Software
If you download or use our software, such as a stand-alone software product, an app, or a browser plugin, you agree that from time to time, the software may download and install upgrades, updates and additional features from us in order to improve, enhance, and further develop the software.You will not modify, create derivative works of, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from us, unless you are expressly permitted to do so under an open source license, or we give you express written permission.
Amendments
Unless we make a change for legal or administrative reasons, or to correct an inaccurate statement, we will provide you with seven (7) days notice (for example, by posting the change on the Applicants.Club Site Governance Page) and an opportunity to comment on changes to this Statement. You can also visit our Applicants.Club Site Governance Page and "like" the Page to get updates about changes to this Statement.If we make changes to policies referenced in or incorporated by this Statement, we may provide notice on the Site Governance Page.Your continued use of Applicants.Club following changes to our terms constitutes your acceptance of our amended terms.
Termination
If you violate the letter or spirit of this Statement, or otherwise create risk or possible legal exposure for us, we can stop providing all or part of Applicants.Club to you. We will notify you by email or at the next time you attempt to access your account. You may also delete your account or disable your application at any time. In all such cases, this Statement shall terminate, but the following provisions will still apply: 2.2, 2.4, 3-5, 8.2, 9.1-9.3, 9.9, 9.10, 9.13, 9.15, 9.18, 10.3, 11.2, 11.5, 11.6, 11.9, 11.12, 11.13, and 15-19.
Disputes
You will resolve any claim, cause of action or dispute (claim) you have with us arising out of or relating to this Statement or Applicants.Club exclusively in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California or a state court located in San Mateo County, and you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purpose of litigating all such claims. The laws of the State of California will govern this Statement, as well as any claim that might arise between you and us, without regard to conflict of law provisions.If anyone brings a claim against us related to your actions, content or information on Applicants.Club, you will indemnify and hold us harmless from and against all damages, losses, and expenses of any kind (including reasonable legal fees and costs) related to such claim. Although we provide rules for user conduct, we do not control or direct users' actions on Applicants.Club and are not responsible for the content or information users transmit or share on Applicants.Club. We are not responsible for any offensive, inappropriate, obscene, unlawful or otherwise objectionable content or information you may encounter on Applicants.Club. We are not responsible for the conduct, whether online or offline, or any user of Applicants.Club.WE TRY TO KEEP Applicants.Club UP, BUG-FREE, AND SAFE, BUT YOU USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. By "Applicants.Club" we mean the features and services we make available, including through (a) our website at www.Applicants.Club.com and any other Applicants.Club branded or co-branded websites (including sub-domains, international versions, widgets, and mobile versions); (b) our Platform; (c) social plugins such as the Like button, the Share button and other similar offerings and (d) other media, software (such as a toolbar), devices, or networks now existing or later developed.By "Platform" we mean a set of APIs and services (such as content) that enable others, including application developers and website operators, to retrieve data from Applicants.Club or provide data to us.By "information" we mean facts and other information about you, including actions taken by users and non-users who interact with Applicants.Club.By "content" we mean anything you or other users post on Applicants.Club that would not be included in the definition of information.By "data" or "user data" or "user's data" we mean any data, including a user's content or information that you or third parties can retrieve from Applicants.Club or provide to Applicants.Club through Platform.By "post" we mean post on Applicants.Club or otherwise make available by using Applicants.Club.By "use" we mean use, run, copy, publicly perform or display, distribute, modify, translate, and create derivative works of.By "active registered user" we mean a user who has logged into Applicants.Club at least once in the previous 30 days.By "application" we mean any application or website that uses or accesses Platform, as well as anything else that receives or has received data from us. If you no longer access Platform but have not deleted all data from us, the term application will apply until you delete the data.

Otherwise, this Statement is an agreement between you and Applicants.Club Ireland Limited. References to “us,” “we,” and “our” mean either Applicants.Club, Inc. or Applicants.Club Ireland Limited, as appropriate.This Statement makes up the entire agreement between the parties regarding Applicants.Club, and supersedes any prior agreements.If any portion of this Statement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining portion will remain in full force and effect.If we fail to enforce any of this Statement, it will not be considered a waiver.Any amendment to or waiver of this Statement must be made in writing and signed by us.You will not transfer any of your rights or obligations under this Statement to anyone else without our consent.All of our rights and obligations under this Statement are freely assignable by us in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or by operation of law or otherwise.Nothing in this Statement shall prevent us from complying with the law.This Statement does not confer any third party beneficiary rights.We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.You will comply with all applicable laws when using or accessing Applicants.Club.
